Florida Pirates: Fact & Fiction

September 17, 2026

Museum of the Everglades Manager Thomas Lockyear, who began his double-decade career at the Pirate Soul Museum in Key West, will share stories of coastal cutthroats and seafaring scoundrels who may or may not have actually made the Sunshine State the scene of their criminal enterprises.

Dia de los Muertos is a Central American tradition of honoring one’s ancestors. It occurs very close to Halloween but holds very different meanings and traditions. Come learn how to decorate calaveras (skulls), create ofrendas (altars), and learn more about this tradition that is important to many indigenous American cultures.

Pioneer Pumpkin Palooza

October 10, 2026

Let’s “harvest” some good memories together at our pumpkin patch! Pick your pumpkin and head to the decorating station to gussy up your gourd. Experience the magic of fall on our hayride as you tour the Ranch surrounded by the beauty of fall colors. Join us to celebrate the fall bounty with an event full of the warmth of the season!
